today’s flash academy was really fun

so this saturday we drew halloween-style artwork.

the first topic was to draw a scene from a nightmare:

a nightmare about my basement...this is actually made up. i never had this nightmare. sorry

The second topic was to draw somebody else’s nightmare (after seeing what everybody drew for the first topic) -

<BinaryClock> my nightmare is sort of weird, basically I'm wandering through the YMCA where I used to go to afterschool to, and suddenly the little kiddy artwork with the fingerpaints and the macaroni for halloween comes off the walls and starts attacking. It chases me around the building and I finally find the exit, but the roads been cracked apart by some large earth quake and I have to jump over it, so I try the jump and I end up just a foot short and I wake up

the next topic was to draw a monster dressed up as a person for halloween:

i wanted him to be lit by a lamp above, but didn't quite get that effect - i should have used some orange in his shading. i used to use that sort of hard plastic pumpkin candy bag

the last topic was to do a halloween landscape. i used artrage and tried a lot of different things but ended up going with something sort of simple:

should the branches thin as the go out? i wouldn't mind them thinning some.
